Johnson & Jennings General Contracting, a San Diego-based contractor, has started work for the build-out of 3,362-square-foot corporate offices for TD Waterhouse, a full-service financial planning institution, at 800 Silverado St. in La Jolla. The work involves demolition of the existing office space, and construction of new offices, break rooms and a conference room. Tenant improvements include custom millwork, and new paint and carpet.

Baja Resort Advisors, LLC, based in La Jolla, has begun construction on Ventana al Mar, a 2,300-unit resort housing development, seven miles north of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. The first phase of the master-planned residential resort, which includes 75 beachfront homes and 104 luxury condos, is scheduled to be completed within 24 months. The beachfront homes, which will be priced beginning in the mid-$500,000s, range from 2,200 to 2,600 square feet.

Bilbro Construction Co., a San Diego-based general contracting firm, has been awarded a contract to complete phase two renovations to the UCSD Moores Cancer Center on the UC San Diego campus in La Jolla. The work, expected to be finished by late July, includes modifications to the main clinic, pharmacy and infusion center.
