Crowe PR Signs New Luxury Resort Clients

MARKETING: SD Firm Expands Hospitality Roster

Local public relations and marketing firm Crowe PR is expanding its roster of hospitality clients with the addition of two luxury boutique resorts. The agency will represent both Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino in the Dominican Republic and The Eliza Jane in New Orleans.

The resorts will join the firm’s growing list of hotels and restaurants located in Memphis, Nashville, Franklin, Birmingham, Huntsville, Washington D.C., Houston and here in San Diego.

“We have roughly 15 hospitality clients on our roster as it is one of our three business units, with the others being healthcare and technology and consumer goods,” Founder and CEO Anna Crowe said. Her team also specializes in representing spirits, apparel, consumer electronics, food and beverage, medical devices, biotech, pharma, restaurants and hospitality groups throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Notable local clients include Liberty Station, Fit Athletic Club, Side Bar, Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Everyday California and Kove.

“There is a myriad of marketing tactics out there – and they keep evolving as tech and consumer behavior changes. Our job is to understand our customers’ businesses and to design and successfully execute marketing strategies that propel their organizations forward,” added Crowe.

Her company will work withLopesan Costa Bávaro to amplify the resort’s awareness with U.S. travelers. “This is a very cool resort, and our goal is to highlight its stunning location, upscale accommodations, and premium amenities,” Crowe stated.

The five-star, all-inclusive Caribbean property sits beachside with more than 1,000 guest rooms and suites. There are seven freshwater swimming pools, family and adults-only options, entertainment, water sports, a spa, a resort casino, 10 restaurants, 16 bars and two beach clubs.

Crowe PR’s team will oversee message development, media relations, thought leadership strategies and social media influencer marketing, including FAM – or familiarization – tours.

“[These] tours enable journalists, bloggers and influencers to experience a property firsthand. We love facilitating these and our media and influencer partners enjoy FAM tours as they allow them to have an immersive experience and share real stories with their audiences,” added Crowe. “In addition to a memorable experience for the reporter or influencer and potential coverage of the resort, a great FAM can lead to a long-lasting relationship between all the involved teams and generate additional stories for years to come.”

Her team integrated influencer marketing into its strategy a few years ago and continues to see ROI success through brand credibility, social amplification, hotel bookings and product sales. “The trickis, of course, to partner with the right influencers for each brand, be clear about expectations and deliverables on both ends and measure and report on success metrics. This landscape continues to evolve and it’s essential to stay on top of the trends, educate yourself and build a trusted influencer community. Otherwise, you may invest a ton of money without significant ROI,” Crowe added.

The firm’s other new addition – The Eliza Jane – is an upscale boutique hotel by the French Quarter that’s part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Crowe PR started implementing its integrated PR strategy for the property a couple of months ago which included a dedicated media FAM tour. “Our team supported the hotel on the ground, in New Orleans, as we shared the rich history, gorgeous design and an incredible culinary experience with our travel, regional and national press contacts,” she shared. “In addition, our goal is to leverage additional marketing tactics, including awards, influencer marketing and thought leadership to promote this unique property.”

Beyond the addition of the two resorts, Crowe PR will soon reveal new launches for their customers and key new hires to the team. “We’re also working on another strategic alliance and will be debuting our new digital look in the next couple of months.”
