UCSD Business School Honors Technology Booster

The Rady School of Management at UC San Diego on June 1 celebrated the opening of its new building, Otterson Hall.

The building was named in honor of the late William Otterson, co-founder of what was then called UCSD Connect, which fosters entrepreneurship in the technology industry.

The $43 million Otterson Hall was privately funded by Rady School supporters, including Ernest Rady and the Rady Family Foundation. Built by Denver-based PCL Construction Services, and designed by Ellerbe Becket of San Francisco, the 50,000-square-foot building has classrooms, conference rooms and common areas for students, as well as faculty and staff offices, and will host special events.
