Paseo Carlsbad, a proposed 56,000-square-foot retail center on Paseo del Norte and Car Country Drive, attracted its first tenants.
Cushman & Wakefield said Dec. 10 that P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and BJ’s Restaurant Brewhouse signed leases totaling $9.87 million dollars.
P.F. Chang’s signed a 10-year lease valued at $2.89 million for 8,100 square feet and BJ’s signed a 20-year lease valued at $6.98 million for 10,470 square feet of retail space and 800 square feet of patio space.
Both restaurants are expected to move into their new spaces in the fall of 2009. Cushman & Wakefield broker Bill Shrader said onsite grading will begin in the first quarter of 2009.
The project is a development by the Carpenters Pension Trust of Southern California. The project value was not disclosed.
