Construction is nearing completion for Terraces at Copley Point, a premier office campus encompassing 530,000 square feet of office space, plus parking on a 25-net-acre site at 5887 and 5893 Copley Drive in Kearny Mesa.
Sudberry Development is developing the $115 million project, intended to be “LEED-certified” by the U.S. Green Building Council. The campus encompasses two steel-framed, six-story office buildings totaling 175,000 square feet and 205,000 square feet, respectively. An adjacent three-story, concrete, open-air parking structure will accommodate 1,073 cars.
Hanna Gabriel Wells Architects is the project architect. Reno Contracting is the general contractor.

Rudolph and Sletten has been awarded the $14 million seismic upgrade of the critical care areas of UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest.
Rudolph and Sletten is serving as construction manager and general contractor for the project, which will be complete in June 2009. The UCSD improvements include bracing 200,000 square feet of critical care space located throughout the 10-story tower of the medical center. Seismic upgrades encompass the mechanical and electrical rooms throughout the basement and other floors, as well as rooftop heating, ventilation and air-conditioning units.

Ledcor Construction has completed tenant improvement construction for the new 45,000-square-foot medical office facility of Scripps Health within the Carlsbad Medical Center located at 2176 Salk Ave. in Carlsbad.
Ledcor Construction was retained directly by Scripps Health for the $3,757,000 project. H.G. Fenton Co. is the owner/developer. The tenant move-in is expected this month. The new two-story, concrete tilt-up medical office facility encompasses a radiology section and nurse call stations.

Johnson & Jennings General Contracting has completed construction for the new $2.4 million, 43,000-square-foot corporate headquarters of National Pen Co., located at 12121 Scripps Summit Drive in Scripps Ranch. Johnson & Jennings was responsible for a build-out comprising one and a half floors for corporate offices, a marketing department, training rooms and meeting facilities.
