Two Appointed to Data Processing Board

San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders announced March 22 the appointments of Edward L. Wong and Moti L. Vyas to the board of directors of the San Diego Data Processing Corp.

Wong serves as the executive vice president and chief supply chain officer for Charlotte Russe Holdings Inc., and has been with the company since 2003. He is a member of the steering committee for the $700 million fashion retailer, with more than 390 stores, and provides corporate strategic planning and other duties for the company.

Before joining Charlotte Russe, Wong served in executive and management posts with several private-sector corporations. A resident of La Jolla, Wong graduated from UC San Diego. Wong, whose term ends July 14, 2008, replaces Scott Tulloch, whose term has expired.

Vyas serves as the chief information officer for Viejas Enterprises, and has extensive experience in operations, project management, systems deployment and risk management.

As CIO, Vyas manages a $10 million budget at the gaming and entertainment casino. Before joining Viejas in 2003, Vyas served as a senior project management consultant with Merck & Co. Inc. He also served as director of systems integration and country manager with Mirrornex Technologies, and was a management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

A resident of La Mesa, Vyas holds a master & #226; & #128; & #153;s degree from the Steven & #226; & #128; & #153;s Institute of Technology and a doctorate from Osmania University Hyderabad in India.

Vyas, whose term ends July 14, 2008, will complete the unexpired term of J. Lance Wade, who has resigned.

The San Diego Data Processing Corp. is a not-for-profit provider of government information technology solutions, according to its Web site.
