San Diego-based Cubic Applications Inc., a subsidiary of Cubic Corp., recently received a U.S. Marine Corps contract with a potential value of $166 million.
Cubic reported May 14 that the new training support contract has an initial seven-month base of approximately $19 million with multiyear options through May 31, 2013. The contract extends an existing five-year contract set to expire at the end of this month.
Under Cubic’s current contract, the company provides computer-based simulation training; command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance training; combined arms staff training and deployable virtual training for Marines at Camp Pendleton, Twentynine Palms and six other bases. The new contract expands training to the 1st Naval Construction Division at Little Creek, Va.
