Several players in the local tourism industry have gotten together to promote a new joint pass.
The groups involved include Old Town Trolley Tours of San Diego, the San Diego Zoological Society, Hornblower Cruises & Events, the San Diego Museum of Art, the San Diego Maritime Museum, Bazaar del Mundo, Westfield Shoppingtown Horton Plaza and Seaport Village.
The different businesses and tourist attractions have created what they’re calling “The San Diego Passport to Adventure.”
The pass will cost $69.95 per person, although the companies say its real value is more than $93.
The pass, which is designed to look like a passport, includes an adult ticket for an Old Town Trolley city tour, a deluxe admission to the San Diego Zoo and a Hornblower harbor tour, and admission into the Museum of Art and the Maritime Museum.
The pass also includes an entr & #233;e at a Bazaar del Mundo restaurant, a free souvenir and a discount shopping booklet from Westfield’s Horton Plaza, a souvenir five-minute phone card and a discount shopping card from Seaport Village.
Several hotels are expected to offer the pass as a package. The pass is also planned to be sold on the Internet, at the county’s visitor information centers and other locations.
