Stylists to Give Free Makeovers at Concert

While Aerosmith will be playing cuts from “Permanent Vacation” on stage, three San Diegans will be plying their vocation with cuts and permanents off stage.

Dearinger has been chosen as the only San Diego salon to participate in Allure magazine’s “Allure on Tour.” What publicists referred to as an “interactive image and beauty experience” visits the Aerosmith concert Aug. 16 in Coors Amphitheatre.

Three stylists from Dearinger will be on hand to conduct makeover services, including color consultations, hair styling and makeup. This will be an opportunity for everyone who’s ever dreamed of having a magazine-style beauty makeover to get one free as they attend the concert, said Trish Clenney Brown, spokeswoman for Dearinger.

For “Allure on Tour,” the magazine created a Hollywood-style motorhome that will travel to concert venues, college campuses and shopping malls across the nation. Each stop will handle, on average, about 10,000 customers, mostly young women, who can take advantage of several beauty stations, including manicures and hair color consultations, Brown said.

Information about the San Diego stop, along with others, will be listed on Allure’s Web site (www.allure.com), she said.

Dearinger has two salons in San Diego , one Downtown and the other in La Jolla, Brown said.
