Sony Online Entertainment, a San Diego-based producer of online video games, said Jan. 19 that it acquired the assets of Octopi of Tucson, Ariz., closing the deal Jan. 16. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Octopi produces an online strategy game called PoxNora and has other projects in the works. The PoxNora development staff will go to work for Sony Online and become the core of Sony Online’s new Tucson studio.
Sony Online Entertainment is a unit of Sony Pictures Digital and Sony Computer Entertainment America.
