Old Globe Given $150,000
Audrey Geisel recently contributed $150,000 to the Old Globe Theatre to sponsor the production of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
The gift was made through the Dr. Seuss Fund of the San Diego Community Foundation.
Geisel’s “other gift,” said Old Globe representatives, is allowing the theater to present the holiday story.
Audi Is Season Sponsor
The San Diego Opera recently announced that Audi of America is again the season sponsor, which it has been since 1996. It’s the opera’s 35th year.
As part of the sponsorship, the car company is also donating a trip for two to the Salzburg Festival in Austria.
