$1M CT Machine
The Sharp Rees-Stealy Mira Mesa Medical Group announced the acquisition of a $1 million Aquilion CT scan machine, one of only two in California.
This state-of-the-art machine will reduce the time a CT scan takes by 50 to 90 percent, according to Toshiba American Medical Systems, which manufactures the device.
CT scans, which take several minutes, are used to identify internal disease or injuries to organs and the skeletal structure.
