Coradino, Hickey and Hanson, a San Diego-based accounting firm, said it has merged with Irvine-based Robert Redwitz & Co.
The newly merged firm will continue to operate in La Jolla under the name Robert Redwitz & Co., but has relocated to new offices at 9404 Genesee Ave., Suite 220.
The merger, which was announced late last month and became effective Oct. 1, increases Redwitz & Co.’s staff to 85 people, and creates a fourth office. It has locations in Irvine, the San Francisco area and Carlsbad.
The principals for the acquired firm said they decided to give up their independent status after 50 years in business to provide their clients with a broader depth of services and expertise.
Besides offering traditional accounting, auditing and tax services to private companies, the merged firm now offers information technology consulting services to its clients, according to Redwitz & Co.
Charles Coradino and David Hickey have joined Robert Redwitz & Co. as directors, while Bruce Hanson now serves as regional managing principal.
