San Diego leads the nation in unduplicated online job ads, according to the Conference Board Help-Wanted Online Data Series.
“The San Diego metropolitan area, which has led the nation in new online job ads for the last three months, hit a new high in June,” said Gad Levanon, economist with the Conference Board. San Diego totaled 4.09 job ads posted for every 100 people in the local labor force.
San Diego beat out other Western metropolitan areas such as San Francisco (3.69), Seattle-Tacoma (3.66) and San Jose (3.39). Detroit had the lowest ratio with 0.87 job ads posted per 100 people in the labor force.
According to the data, the number of unique, online job postings for San Diego is roughly 61,500.
The nonprofit Conference Board measures the number of new, first-time online jobs posted on more than 1,200 Internet job-posting sites in 52 metropolitan areas.
