The San Diego Museum of Art announced the addition of Julia Marciari-Alexander as the deputy director for curatorial affairs. Marciari-Alexander joins the museum from the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, Conn., where she served as the associate director of exhibitions and publications. She will be responsible for all existing curatorial programs at the San Diego Museum of Art and will lead a new publication program for the institution. Marciari-Alexander received her Ph.D. in the history of art from Yale University as well as two master’s degrees, one in art history from Yale and another in French literature from New York University.
Banking and Finance
San Diego National Bank announced Scott Yates as the new manager of the San Marcos branch. Yates will be responsible for the daily operations of the branch, developing new business and managing the staff.
Wells Fargo promoted Randy Lee to senior vice president. Lee is an 18-year financial services veteran and currently the finance manager for Southern California community banking, responsible for the financial planning, reporting and analysis for 160 stores.
Brian Trotier has opened The Terrasys Group, a management and financial consulting firm. Trotier has more than 25 years of experience as a corporate executive. He is also an adjunct professor in the MBA program at the University of San Diego.
Construction and Design
Roel Construction Co. has promoted Aaron Luecht from superintendent to project manager in the consulting services group. Luecht has been with the company since 2003. Roel Consulting Group also promoted Fred Vaughn from senior project manager to director of construction and construction management service. Vaughn joined the company in 2006.

The San Diego Education Fund has elected to its board of directors, William Van De Weghe, managing director of RA Capital Advisors LLC; Larry Sundram, former president of Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Co.; Rodney Smith, retired business owner; and Leslie Taylor, North County real estate agent.
Engineering
Jeff Densley has joined Burkett & Wong Engineers’ structural engineering department as a structural project engineer. Densley will provide structural engineering design and consultation for varying project types, including hospitality, commercial and industrial buildings.

Chef Timothy Ralphs has joined Loews Coronado Bay Restaurant as executive chef. Ralphs has more than 16 years of culinary experience.
Law
Procopio Cory Hargreaves & Savitch LLP announced the additions of Steven Jaye, John Cleary and Vessela Stoyanova to the firm. Jaye has joined the firm as counsel, Cleary as senior counsel and Stoyanova as an associate. All have joined the firm’s business and technology team. Jaye previously spent 13 years as senior vice president and general counsel for Sunrise Medical. Prior to joining the firm, Cleary was an associate with Solomon Ward Seidenwurm & Smith LLP. Stoyanova comes to the firm from the San Francisco office of Nixon Peabody LLP.
Media and Marketing
Fenway Sports Group has opened a new office in San Diego and appointed Pat Connors as senior vice president to direct the office. Connors will be responsible for strategic growth, daily operations, identifying and securing new clients and revenue opportunities.
J Public Relations promoted Christia Gordon to manager of publicity and hired Junior Publicist Alexis Banks. Gordon will take on increased responsibility to strategize and implement creative, results-driven public relations campaigns for the firm’s clients. Banks, a previous intern for J Public Relations, is a recent graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, San Diego.
Lisa Daniels has been named marketing and membership director for the Palomar Family YMCA. Daniels most recently worked with a wide range of nonprofit organizations as a retirement consultant for the Lincoln Financial Group.
Miscellaneous
La Costa Glen Carlsbad, a continuing care community, has announced the addition of Michele Chaffe as assistant activities director. Chaffe will work with residents on monthly themed special events, ongoing arts and crafts programs, outside excursions and special presentations by local artists, health experts and musical entertainers.
Proven Staffing Consultants has appointed Brooke McManus to the position of associate partner in the firm’s finance and accounting group. Brooke will serve as an account executive with special responsibility for new business development. Prior to joining Proven, McManus was a senior account executive for a wholesale banking company.
JobPlex announced the addition of Scott Faurot, executive vice president, to the San Diego office. Faurot joins the firm with more than 10 years of executive search experience working with clients in the insurance, financial services, real estate, construction and renewable energy sectors. Prior to joining JobPlex, Faurot was director of executive search for the commercial construction department at Newport Strategic Search LLC.

Willis Allen Real Estate announced the addition of Realtor Bark Albin. Albin specializes in the coastal and metro communities from Coronado through Encinitas. Albin is currently acting as developer in the construction of two homes in Coronado.
