Executive Spotlight , Kimberly Bell

Gentiva Health Services Inc. has appointed Kimberly Bell to director of Gentiva Safe Strides for San Diego County. Bell will focus on directing the growth and expansion of the program, which helps people rehabilitate at home after an accidental fall.

Bell has also been elected chairwoman of the San Diego County Fall Prevention Task Force for 2008. Before joining Gentiva Health Services, Bell served as rehabilitation director for the Visiting Nurse Association of Maryland and previously worked at the University of Maryland’s Shock Trauma Center.

Banking and Finance

Union Bank of California N.A. has named Melaini Peet assistant vice president and manager of the east Encinitas branch. Peet will be responsible for managing the overall performance and growth of the branch.

San Diego National Bank has hired James Weipert as vice president in the commercial banking group. Weipert will work out of the Golden Triangle office and focus on business development and retention of commercial and middle market banking relationships. Weipert has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Michael Privett has joined The Gensler Group as wealth adviser. Before joining Gensler, Privett was vice president at Retirement Capital Group Inc.

Bruce Winer has been named vice president of project management for Irving Hughes/CM, the company’s Project Management Group. Winer has 26 years of experience in San Diego construction.
