SAIC to Support Army With $47M Subcontract

SAIC, the San Diego research and engineering firm, said May 15 it was awarded a subcontract for about $47 million by Sensor Technologies Inc. for analytical and technical support on a task order for the Army’s Distributed Common Ground System.

The ground system provides the Army with fully integrated and timely intelligence on the battlefield. SAIC said it will provide embedded mentor services to the Army and other defense forces around the globe.

SAIC’s primary customers are the federal Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security and the intelligence community. The company, which is also known as Science Applications International Corp., had total revenue of $8.9 billion for the fiscal year ended Jan. 31.
