SAIC Explores Infrared Technology for Air Force

The Air Force awarded a $45.6 million contract to San Diego-based SAIC to provide research and development of new infrared countermeasure technologies to help protect U.S. military aircraft. The 63-month contract was announced Nov. 10.

Work will be performed primarily in Dayton, Ohio.

SAIC, also known as Science Applications International Corp., is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol SAI. Shares closed Nov. 11 at $18.51, up 23 cents or 1.26 percent from the previous day’s close.
