ResMed Inc., a Poway-based manufacturer of medical equipment, has purchased the last remaining 9.78-acre parcel of land at San Diego Spectrum in Kearny Mesa for $21 million for a new national headquarters. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2006.
ResMed acquired three lots of the master-planned, 244-acre San Diego Spectrum business and residential community located on the former General Dynamics site at Paramount Drive between Tech Way and Spectrum Center Boulevard.
According to the company, the new facility will more than double its headquarters space.
Burnham Real Estate/Oncor International represented the buyer, while the seller, LNR Kearny Mesa Inc., dba Lennar Partners, was represented by CB Richard Ellis.
San Diego Spectrum also includes Northrop Grumman, Jack in the Box, Sharp Healthcare, San Diego County Water Authority, Overland Storage, Cal Coast Credit Union, Paychex, National University, ACE, Latitude, and 33 other tenants.
