The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club will begin its 43-day race season July 26 with record-setting stakes.
Del Mar will hold 28 major events worth $6.1 million. The season will also include a new race and distant adjustments on the some of the races.
Last year, more than 1.2 million people went to Del Mar and its 17 off-track wagering satellites.
