Ninteman Construction Co. of San Diego has finished a six-story office building and separate parking garage at Seaview Corporate Center in Sorrento Mesa, a company official said.
GAA Architects of Irvine designed the 127,000-square-foot office building at 10182 Telesis Court. Ninteman employees designed the 265,000-square-foot parking structure.
The garage’s rotunda has retail space for a delicatessen. A swimming pool, tennis court and exercise room with showers and lockers are included in the center’s amenities, said Diane Clark, a Ninteman spokeswoman.
Lennar Partners of Irvine and The Muller Co. of Laguna Hills are developing the project.
Ninteman’s San Diego-area subcontractors on the office building were C & B; Steel, Brian Cox Mechanical, Neal Electric, Paschall Plumbing, Grinnell Fire Protection, Tower Glass, and Brady Co., Clark said.
Meanwhile, JenJor Development Inc. of San Diego finished constructing a 10,000-square-foot building at Broadway Plaza, 45 N. Broadway, Chula Vista.
Primo Salon and Day Spa will occupy the single-story building, said Mark Freed, vice president of construction. Arcadia Group of San Diego designed the architecture. Archcad of San Diego drafted the tenant improvement drawings.
Collins General Contractors of San Diego just started work on 28,000 square feet of additional retail space at Scripps Ranch Marketplace at Scripps Poway Parkway and Spring Canyon Road.
Mickey Carhart, president of Collins General Contractors, said the three buildings should be completed by the end of this month.
Washington Mutual Bank will occupy one of them, he said. North Island Federal Credit Union, McMillin Realty of National City and Jo-Tes Day Spa will be tenants in another.
Santorini Island Grill and Planet Smoothies will occupy the food court space that’s being created.
The McMillin Commercial Group of National City is developing the property.
Collins General Contractors also completed remodeling and tenant improvements earlier this month at the Scripps Research Institute, 3301 N. Torrey Pines Road. Stephen J. Frazier Design-Planning of San Diego drew the architectural plans.
About 40,000 square feet of office space was carpeted and new partitions, light fixtures, cabinets, wood trim and plumbing fixtures were installed. High-speed data and telephone lines were hooked up as well, said Don Albert, project manager.
Simac Construction Inc. of San Diego has finished tenant improvements for Hollywood Video, 1625 Sweetwater Road in National City. Joseph Amaral, project manager, said Russell Stout Architecture & Planning of San Diego designed the project.
Precision Electric of Lakeside was a subcontractor. Alpha Mechanical and Siciliano Plumbing, both of San Diego, were also involved in the project.
Bycor General Contractors Inc. of San Diego has completed a 20,000-square-foot office and laboratory building at 5550 Morehouse Drive in Sorrento Mesa for locally based NSI Communications Corp., said Scott Kaats, Bycor’s CEO.
NSI is a provider of networks that allow telephone data and video satellite transmission, Kaats said.
Several local construction companies participated in the building of the 68,000-square-foot city of Carlsbad administrative building at 1635 Faraday Ave. in Carlsbad, said Joe O’Hollearn, project manager for IR2-Interior Resource Inc. of San Diego, which provided space planning and project management.
Smith Consulting Architects of San Diego created the construction documents. Firouzi Consulting Engineers Inc. of Rancho Bernardo did the structural engineering and Kruse & Associates of San Diego designed the electrical systems.
Lusardi Construction Co. of San Marcos was the general contractor, O’Hollearn said. South Coast Heating & Air Conditioning of Oceanside designed and built the mechanical systems and Pacific Coast Plumbing of San Marcos put in the water lines.
Crews from Erreca Contractors of Lakeside are busy this month redeveloping the Imperial Marketplace on the southwest corner of Imperial Avenue and Interstate 805. The 250,000-square-foot project includes remodeling of existing buildings, according to Mark T. Burger, a principal of Pacific Development Partners LLC of Beverly Hills, which owns the facility.
Santee-based Western Mechanical, Heating and Air Conditioning earlier this month completed ventilation system improvements at the County Operations Building on Overland Avenue in San Diego, said Rob Svendsen, general manager.
The company installed two new rooftop heating and air-conditioning units at the building.
Western Mechanical recently completed similar work at the County Operations Building on Ruffin Road, he said.
