The revitalization of Downtown’s Marina District continues with the addition of new landscaped medians along Market Street from Union Street to Third Avenue.

The $230,000 project by the Centre City Development Corp. planted liquid amber trees and California sycamores in raised curb and gutter medians and improved both pedestrian access across the street and traffic signaling at Front and Market streets. The project contractor was Terra-Cal Construction Inc.

“With several residential developments throughout the Marina neighborhood due to be completed very soon, these new medians are an important physical and aesthetic improvement to the streetscape and neighborhood,” said Peter Hall, CCDC president. “We’re delighted by the results, and applaud the efficient work of the contracting team.”
