Real Estate Carlsbad homes offer convenient transportation access



Rancho Penasquitos Models Opened in March

Pacific View Estates in Olde Carlsbad Village is now past the 50 percent sold point, thanks to a significant number of potential homebuyers looking for travel convenience, according to Concordia Communities LLC, the Carlsbad-based builder.

Eleven of the homes remain. Architecture reflects California’s Monterey costal region, Italy’s Tuscan villages and Spanish colonies in three exterior elevations. Four two-story designs include 2,295 to 3,639 square feet of living space and offer up to five bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Olde Carlsbad Village has been selling homes since late October. Most homes are priced from the mid-$400,000s to the high-$500,000s.

Charlene Kane, community sales manager of Concordia, said prospective buyers appreciate the value of being near McClellan-Palomar Airport, Coaster and Amtrak train stations and major freeways.

Pacific View Estates is located off Interstate 5 at Carlsbad Village Drive.

Lucas & Mercier Development of Irvine recently celebrated the grand opening of models of the Autumn Glen neighborhood in Vista. More than 200 homebuyers toured models and several homes were immediately purchased.

Early California coastal architecture inspired the homes, which offer 2,159- to 3,277-square-foot floor plans. Homes will be ready for move-ins around June. Prices start in the low $300,000s.

Gourmet kitchens, walk-in closets, marble countertops and handcrafted oak cabinetry are among the amenities offered in Autumn Glen. Homes are located near all levels of schools.

Autumn Glen is located off Highway 78 and Escondido Avenue.

Model homes for Barcelona in Rancho Penasquitos by Greystone Homes San Diego opened this month. Homes mirror the classic styles of Santa Barbara, California Ranch and Craftsman architecture.

Floor plans include three to six bedrooms and up to 4 1/2 baths. Prices begin from the high-$500,000s.

Greystone also offers communities in La Costa Valley, Satalina in Carlsbad, Vistamonte in Oceanside and The Breakers in Carmel Valley.

Builder closeout of homes at The Breakers is now taking place. Eastern seaside-style homes are move-in ready and two models are also available for sale.

The two-level homes are priced from the low-$700,000s and feature Greystone’s “Everything’s Included” program.

Newport Beach-based Fieldstone Communities recently released 10 new homes at Poinsettia Cove in Carlsbad.

Three or four bedrooms are available with 2,033- to 2,629-square-foot floor plans. Homes are designed in Craftsman bungalow or beach cottage architecture. Prices start in the mid-$400,000s.

The neighborhood will eventually consist of 117 homes.

La Jolla-based Cornerstone Communities is preparing for the opening of model homes at the Terrazzo at Torrey Del Mar in Carmel Valley in mid-April.

The 69 residences will offer up to seven bedrooms, six baths and three-car garages with prices starting from the high-$500,000s. Floor plans range from 3,094 to 4,023 square feet.

Terrazzo will feature flexible floor plan options that will enable homebuyers to add or subtract various elements of their residence.

The first phase of nine Mediterranean homes is scheduled to begin construction late this month with the first escrow closing and move-ins targeted for late summer.

Terrazzo is located off I-5 and Carmel Valley Road.

Dallas-based Centex Homes opened two new phases of the Summer Walk and Seasons communities earlier this month.

The development is all a part of the master planned community of Sunbow in Chula Vista. Seven homes will be available at Season and eight will be ready at Summer Walk. Homes will be priced from the high-$200,000s to the low-$300,000s. Move-ins for both phases will be ready in September.

4S Ranch of Rancho Bernardo by master planner La Jolla-based Newland Communities is reporting sales far exceeding expectations.

“The response has been overwhelming thus far,” said Mike Kennedy, general manager of Newland. “Even before the opening of our model homes, more than 20 homes had been claimed by prospective buyers.”

A total of 31 homes have been sold, resulting in first-phase sell-outs at all three neighborhoods.

Cedar Creek by D.R. Horton, based in Arlington, Texas, offers two-story homes with three to four bedrooms inspired by Kensington and Spanish architecture. Pricing begins in the low-$400,000s.

Homestead by Newport Beach’s Fieldstone Communities features two-story homes ranging in size from 2,860 to 3,300 square feet. Room options include additional bedrooms, master bedrooms retreats, dens or lofts with prices beginning in the mid-$400,000s.

Ryland Heritage by Calabasas-based Ryland Homes offers Craftsman, Spanish and American-traditional style architecture and up to seven bedrooms. Floor plans include 3,436 to 4,069 square feet and prices begin in the low-$500,000s.
