San Diego-based Ophthonix Inc., a company developing new types of corrective lenses, announced Feb. 7 that Stephen Osbaldeston has joined the company as chief executive officer.
He takes the place of Andreas Dreher, who will continue in his role as chairman of the board. Dreher will also take a new role as chief technology officer.
Osbaldeston was most recently an executive with Ciba Vision. Before that, he was with Bausch & Lomb.
In December, Ophthonix announced it had received $35 million in Series D venture funding. The company is also developing vision assessment equipment.
