No. 18 , Paul Jacobs

Estimated worth: $200 million

The third oldest son of Qualcomm co-founder Irwin Jacobs has been working at the company since 1990 as a senior engineer. Paul Jacobs formerly held the title as group president of the Wireless and Internet Group, and previously was executive vice president.

On July 1, Jacobs, 42, was elevated to chief executive of the wireless technology company. By most accounts, Paul has been in training for taking over Qualcomm for several years and has earned the respect of both the firm’s management and outside board members.

In the past two years, Paul Jacobs sold Qualcomm stock and options, profiting by more than $123 million in the process.

He currently holds some 1.5 million shares in the company that were valued at about $67.3 million as of late October.
