Michael, a local author and owner the Normal Heights-based publishing firm Win Win Communications, recently published “A Guide to Family History for Fun and Profit.”
The book provides readers with the necessary tools to research a family tree.
Michael said her fascination with mapping family trees began with the many stories passed on to her by her own family.
For instance, she found her ancestors endured many hardships crossing the Atlantic in wooden sailing ships and then
tracking through the wilderness from Maryland to Kentucky after the Revolutionary War.
