Fahari Jeffers was elected the chairman of the San Diego Convention Center Corp. for 2000.
Jeffers is the general counsel for the United Domestic Workers Union. The other elected board officials are attorney Pat Shea, vice chairman; and SDSU professor Maria Nieto Senour, secretary-treasurer. Stockbroker Dan McAllister was appointed to the nine-member board.
