Wireless service provider Leap Wireless International Inc. announced third-quarter financial results Nov. 7.
Revenues for the three months ended Sept. 30 were $287.5 million, up 25 percent from revenues of $230.5 million in the same period of 2005.
Net income for the period was $10 million, or 16 cents per diluted share, down from net income in the like period of 2005 of $16.4 million, or 27 cents per diluted share.
Operating expenses for the period increased from last year to $292.5 million from $216.5 million.
San Diego-based Leap Wireless is traded on the Nasdaq as LEAP and closed Nov. 7 at $55.66, down 34 cents from the Nov. 6 close.
