The Council of Foundations has named the Jacobs Family Foundation a Family Foundation Critical Impact Award winner.

The foundation used grants, loan guarantees and direct investing to help residents finance change in the community. It gave grants of $2 million per year for five years.

“This award was created to recognize those who truly make a difference in their grant making, while sharing with the public examples of how philanthropy seeks to enhance the common good,” said Steve Gunderson, president and chief executive officer of the Council on Foundations.
