Newsletter Honors Local Hotel Products Manufacturer

Randall International, a Carlsbad-based manufacturer of custom-created guest amenities and retail products for world-class hotels, sweeps the competition once again.

For the eighth time in the last decade, a Randall creation , Faberge bath amenities for hotel rooms , was honored last December with an award from Harper’s Hideaway Report.

The Hideaway Report is a privately published newsletter dedicated to the discovery of peaceful vacation retreats for the sophisticated traveler. Until 1997, the awards were given to hotel rather than product producers. Now, amenity producers compete against other world-class hotel suppliers.

Since starting the business in 1989, founder Bill Randall has driven the company forward like a bull.

“We live our days in a creative climate in which ‘good enough’ never is,” Randall said.

This annual award illustrates Randall International’s commitment to excellence, constantly pushing the envelope of what is possible.

The company has developed a reputable name by distributing hotel amenities to prestigious establishments such as the Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad and the Hyatt Anara Spa in Kauai, Hawaii. Randall International is also affiliated with Faberge, Garden Botanika, Victoria’s Secret and Callaway Golf, which offer certain products produced by Randall.

Maintaining high standards for about 12 years, the self-sufficient industry handles the design, R & D;, package printing, compounding in addition to filling bottles and packaging for all of their distributed products.

In particular, the R & D; department is continuing to innovate in the amenity industry with the newly perfected Defenders line.

For example, a Golfer’s Defense sunscreen manufactured by Randall International has recently been formulated as the world’s first patented sports sunscreen. The formula smoothes to a soft, absorbent powder within 30 seconds, eliminating the impediment of oils and greases while on the green. This product has been selected as the official sun care product for the 100th U.S. Open held at Pebble Beach this month.

Accommodating a broad range of consumers, Sun Defense, another functional sun-blocker developed by Randall’s R & D; and produced by Randall, was designed to be sand-proof, sweat-proof, stain-proof, rub-proof and non-oily. With merchandise designed so meticulously, it’s no wonder that Randall International has been on the cutting edge in skin care, hair care, sun care and bath and shower products.
