Construction is under way on two schools that will serve the newly developed Del Sur community, located in between the Interstate 5 and Interstate 15 just east of Rancho Santa Fe. Del Sur Elementary and Del Norte High School will emphasize high-tech, earth-friendly design and construction, and will be within the Poway Unified School District. Del Sur Elementary is projected to open in 2008 and will be an 81,000-square-foot facility planned to accommodate 800 students. Del Norte High School is planned to open in 2009 or 2010 and eventually hold 2,250 students in grades 9-12. The designer is NTD Architecture of San Diego and Barnhart Inc. of San Diego is the general contractor.

Good & Roberts Inc. has been selected by Rreef Management Co. to complete tenant improvement construction at its 10100 Willow Creek Road property in Scripps Ranch. Renovations will include conversion of the existing 30,000-square-foot space into conference rooms, demonstration rooms and administrative areas. The project is expected to be completed on a 10-week schedule.

San Diego-based RSI Roofing is in the process of re-roofing the Sharp Healthcare Center for a contract amount of $243,418. The company is installing 60 Mil TPO single ply over poly-ISO insulation, in accordance with California mandated cool-roof energy requirements.

San Diego-based TSA Contracting Inc. has completed the $90 million remodel of the downtown San Diego Ivy Hotel. TSA has also been asked to oversee ongoing interior enhancement projects to maintain the 159-room Ivy’s appearance.
