Julie is the correct name of founder and Chief Executive Officer Eric Thomas’ wife; and Thomas did not live in England in 1995 and did not buy British-based Telinco.

In the early years of FreedomVoice, Thomas said he was questioned by potential customers about the size of his business, and lost some business as a result of being a small business. But he said he prevailed and succeeded because he was able to offer the same technology as a Fortune 500 company at a fraction of the price.

The Business Journal regrets the error.
