‘s June 6 Executive Profile of Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc. Chief Executive Officer Ginger L. Graham, it was incorrectly stated that the company’s first diabetes drug, Symlin, has its roots in the Gila monster’s saliva, when in fact it was the company’s second drug, Byetta.

A profile in the May 23 Multicultural Heritage Awards supplement of the San Diego Business Journal incorrectly identified the number of members of the Girl Scouts, San Diego-Imperial Council, Inc. and percent of those members from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The number of members is 29,482. Of those, 9,619 (32 percent) are from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The Business Journal regrets the errors.
