Lyons Warren, a San Diego-based specialist in retail and commercial design and food service, has begun work on the new 15,000-square-foot St. Gregory of Nyssa Greek Orthodox Church near the intersection of Jamacha Road and Chase Avenue in El Cajon.

The three-phase project will include a small chapel and offices, a multipurpose building, and a main chapel, featuring a 380-foot diameter domed roof with stained glass windows around the perimeter.

Cost: $3 million.

Johnson & Jennings General Contracting of San Diego has started interior tenant improvements on two buildings at Scripps Corporate Plaza at 10650 and 10680 Treena St. in Scripps Ranch.

Space planner: Christina Carney of Hurkes Harris Design Associates.

Johnson & Jennings also has completed the buildout of a speculative suite and office expansion for inSilica, a manufacturer of computer parts, in a third building within Scripps Corporate Plaza at 10670 Treena St., Suite 217.

Cost: Upgrades totaling $33,000 were made to the parking area.

Pacific Building Group, a San Diego-based general contractor, tenant improvement specialist and facilities maintenance provider, has completed several projects in the Promontory at 11440 W. Bernardo Drive in Rancho Bernardo.

Smith Consulting Architects of San Diego is providing full architectural services for a 20,000-square-foot office building in Desert Business Park, a new 80-acre professional campus in Palm Desert. Paneling has been completed and framing is under way.
