Bilbro Construction Co., a San Diego-based general contracting firm, has been awarded a design-build contract by Western Devcon, Inc. for the Social Security Administration facility in Mission Viejo.
The project involves 12,250 square feet of tenant improvements to a two-story, single-occupant building for the Social Security Administration’s Mission Viejo branch office.
Cost: $1 million.
Architect: Gene Cipparone Architects.
Subcontractors: Bergelectric Corp., California Comfort Systems USA and Pipeline Plumbing.

Barnhart, Inc. of San Diego is building a new Health and Wellness Center for UC San Diego.
The 3,000-square-foot clinic will be a two-story, wood-framed building that will be connected to the existing health center via a walkway. A new parking lot also will be developed.
Cost: $2.5 million.
Designer: Langdon Wilson of Los Angeles.
Subcontractors: HPS Mechanical, Standard Drywall, Rocky Coast Framing, Bergelectric and Clark Steel.

LP Scripps Northridge, LLC, in a joint venture with Lankford & Associates, Inc. and PRG Properties, LLC, all of San Diego, is building the Plaza @ Scripps Northridge, a new Class A office development.
The 113,000-square-foot building is sited on 4.7 acres at the entrance to the 125-acre master-planned Scripps Northridge Corporate Center along the Interstate 15 corridor at Scripps Poway Parkway in San Diego.
In addition to the plaza, the office and technology park is home to Nokia’s 325,000-square-foot Product Creation Center campus and Home Depot’s 151,000-square-foot maintenance warehouse regional headquarters.
Cost: $28 million.
