Local businesses are participating in a three-month campaign to raise more than $300,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego.
Pacific Bell Wireless and San Diego County McDonald’s Restaurants recently began a drive that will continue through April 30.
People who make a minimum donation of $20 will qualify for a free digital phone. Individuals will receive a phone with a new, one-year service activation.
The offer is available at local McDonald’s restaurants, Pacific Bell PCS stores and select retailers in the county.
The campaign will support the operation of the Ronald McDonald House, which is a place for local families of seriously ill children and those who must travel outside of their communities to seek medical attention for a child.
