Rep. Brian Bilbray, R-Escondido, will speak and take questions during an appearance from 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.
Several North County chambers of commerce are sponsoring the appearance.
Bilbray faces a November election against Francine Busby of the Democratic Party, Miriam Clark of the Peace and Freedom Party, and Paul King of the Libertarian Party.
The California Center for the Arts is at 340 N. Escondido Blvd. The event will be held in its conference center.
Organizers said the event is free to the public but requires reservations due to limited seating. To make a reservation, call the San Diego North Economic Development Council at (760) 598-9311. Alternatively, send an e-mail to info@sandiegonorthedc.org.
The Economic Development Council is sponsoring the event in conjunction with the North County Chamber Association. The association is made up of the Carlsbad, Escondido, Fallbrook, Oceanside, Poway, San Diego North, San Marcos and Vista chambers of commerce.
