The city of San Diego broke ground earlier this month on a 500-space parking garage at Sixth Avenue and Market Street. The $6.82 million project, which will serve the Gaslamp Quarter and East Village areas when it is completed this December, is funded from the city’s parking meter district program. The contractor for the project is Nielsen Dillingham Builders.
