The number of passengers who flew in and out of Lindbergh Field last year was up by 0.6 percent from 2005 to 17.5 million, according to an air traffic report from the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority released this month.
Analysts blamed the lackluster results on higher airfares and carriers cutting back on capacity.
The amount of airfreight rose 6 percent to 165,771 tons, while mail , a separate category , was up by 35 percent to 42,221 tons.
The number of aircraft operations , takeoffs and landings , was up a mere 0.3 percent to 220,839.
