San Diego-based remittance company Golden Money Transfer Inc. this week launched an online platform called Inyo.
The company said the platform allows customers in 26 states and Washington, D.C., to transfer money to Brazil, Mexico and Ethiopia online or with a mobile phone.
Golden Money Transfer, which has been in business for about seven years, has been beta testing the Inyo platform for about three months.
“We are very excited to bring our state-of-the-art technology to benefit our customers where it matters most: in their wallets,” says Inyo’s chief technology officer, Robson Dantas. “As we grow, we continue to learn what our customers’ needs are and our main priority is to use our technology to address those needs.”
Inyo typically charges $4.99 for a money transfer, but is offering a $1 promotional fee until the end of the year.
In the future, the company plans to expand the places to which its customers may send money to include additional Latin American countries, the Philippines and Thailand.
