San Diego business services provider Tridea Partners LLC has been acquired by the Norwell, Mass.-based subsidiary of Danish company Columbus IT.
Columbus said it agreed to pay a sum equal to $6.7 million, plus another $2 million equivalent based on Tridea’s future earnings performance.
Tridea provides back-office business functions and customer relation management services to the food-and-beverage and life science industries. The company will be renamed Tridea – a Columbus Company.
The transaction was announced in a news release dated Jan. 9.
“Tridea’s deep industry expertise, paired with Columbus’ history of providing leading services and solutions to this market, will strengthen our mutual ability to transform our clients’ businesses and build lasting relationships,” Keld Olsen, Columbus US’s business unit leader, said in the release.
Founded in 2004, Tridea brought in $5.7 million in 2015. The company has more than 200 customers in the western United States. It has 29 local employees.
Columbus is an international consulting company with 27 offices and more than 300 employees in the United States.
