San Diego-based engineering firm SCST Inc. has acquired Southwest Geophysics Inc., a local firm that specializes in geophysical data acquisition, processing and interpretation.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
“(Southwest Geophysics) has experienced accelerated growth over the past few years and will operate as a subsidiary of SCST,” SCST said April 24.
Bringing the firms together will facilitate geographic expansion and the addition of more services for existing and future clients, said Neal Clements, CEO of SCST, formerly known as Southern California Soil & Testing.
“(Southwest Geophysics’) experience and reputation as an industry leader will continue to support our vision of providing the best technical solutions to the most challenging projects,” Clements said.
Southwest Geophysics, founded in 2004, provides geophysical services to help reduce explorative costs and assist in mitigating unexpected site conditions.
SCST, established in 1959, has offices in Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Fresno, Chicago and Milwaukee in addition to its San Diego headquarters.
