ID Analytics Names New CEO

ID Analytics, a San Diego company that makes identity verification and fraud prevention software, announced a new CEO on July 23. Matt McAluney will serve as company’s new chief executive after headed up its sales and service teams for more than five years.

Before joining ID Analytics, McAluney served as vice president of sales at Equifax. He also has held roles in business development and sales for Yodless, Proficient Systems, and Black and Decker.

ID Analytics’ former CEO, Ajay Nigam, was promoted to lead the product and engineering teams for Symantec’s Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) group. He had served as CEO of the company for a little less than a year prior to his promotion. ID Analytics became a subsidiary of Symantec after it was sold to Lifelock in 2012, which was later acquired by the cybersecurity giant.

In his new role, McAluney will report to Symantec’s senior vice president and general manager of information protection, Nico Popp. He plans to further develop its identity insights, while maintaining its credit and fraud risk solutions.

“The fraud and credit challenges businesses face today are becoming increasingly complex and the pace of change continues to accelerate. Businesses need partners who are always looking ahead to the next challenge,” McAluney said in a news release.
