HomeStreet Bank has opened a branch in Point Loma, its fifth in San Diego.
Managing the bank is Raymond Simas, who most recently served as vice president and regional banking manager for Irvine-based Pacific Premier Bank, which in 2013 acquired San Diego Trust Bank and its branches in San Diego, Point Loma and Encinitas.
HomeStreet Bank, a Seattle-based company, held a grand opening for the Rosecrans Street location in November.
The Point Loma branch is the fifth HomeStreet has opened in the San Diego area. In March, the financial services company opened bank branches in Mission Gorge and Kearny Mesa. The company also has branches in Del Mar and Mission Valley.
