Navy League’s Convention Set for San Diego

Topics such as the federal budget, shipbuilding and the need for STEM education will be on the table when the Navy League of the United States holds its annual convention June 24-29 at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina on Harbor Island.

General Dynamics Nassco is opening its facility for a private tour, and the Navy is opening some of its training facilities for convention-goers.

The Navy League, an advocacy group that lobbies Congress, rotates its national convention among various cities.

STEM, by the way, is an abbreviation for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
