The U.S. Navy announced on July 1 that it awarded a $9.1 million contract modification to San Diego-based Pacific Ship Repair and Fabrication Inc. for work on a destroyer in Everett, Wash.
Funds will go toward the repair and modernization of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Shoup. Work will continue through December.
Pacific Ship Repair has facilities in San Diego and Washington.
The Northwest Regional Maintenance Center of Bremerton, Wash., awarded the deal.
