Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. said that its Modular Systems Division — which builds modular shipping containers and related products — recently received contract awards totaling $4.2 million. The business offered few details of the awards in its announcement, saying the awards were from an unspecified U.S. government agency; that they would serve command, control and communications systems; and they would serve the “war fighter.”
The Modular Systems business, which also builds custom enclosures, includes Kratos’ Gichner division, based in Pennsylvania.
Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) is a defense holding company based in the University Towne Center area. It reported revenue of $950.6 million in 2013.
