Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. said June 13 that its Unmanned Systems Division received an engineering services contract that could be worth as much as $10.2 million over five years.
San Diego-based Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) did not identify the other party in the contract, saying only it was the U.S. government and a longtime customer.
The sole-source deal relates to unmanned drone systems and associated command, control and communications.
The business’ Unmanned Systems Division specializes in high-performance, jet-powered drone aircraft used for tactical, combat and target applications. The business is based in Roseville, near Sacramento. Steve Fendley is the division’s president.
