Harper Construction Co. Inc. will travel to Ventura County to perform its latest building project for the U.S. Navy.
The Navy awarded San Diego-based Harper a $25.1 million deal for repair and construction of a Joint Strike Force Foreign Military Sales building at Naval Base Ventura County in Point Mugu.
The deal is a fixed-price task order to a previously awarded contract.
The task order calls for Harper to repair office and laboratory space, repair and modify interior walls, paint, flooring, ceiling tile, lights, windows and roofs, demolish interior building components and phone cabling and repair major building systems including heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, electrical, fire protection, raised flooring, security systems and radio frequency shielding. Work is expected to be complete by April 2017.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest of San Diego awarded the deal, announced March 3.
