ES3 Defense Deal Potentially Worth $7.5M

The U.S. Air Force said on July 8 that it awarded a downtown San Diego company a contract for landing gear emergency response engineering services with a ceiling of $7.5 million.

Under the deal, ES3 — or Engineering and Software System Solutions Inc. — will provide technical support necessary to respond to urgent requests for engineering help. Efforts will include mishap or failure analysis, system safety evaluation, failure modes and impact criticality analysis, and short-term remediation and fleet stabilization efforts for various weapon systems.

The indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity deal could be worth as much as $7.5 million over four years. The Air Force Sustainment Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah awarded the contract. There were two bidders.

ES3 says it also works with commercial customers, which it did not name.
